Ayurvedic warming remedies to build immunity

• Make a tea with the following ingredients: 1/2 inch Grated ginger, 2 or 3 seeds of crushed cardamom, 2 or 3 crushed black peppercorns, 2 or 3 cloves, 1/2 inch cinnamon stick or 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder. Boil in 2 cups of water for about 5 minutes. Let it stand for a few minutes and then strain and have. You can sweeten with jaggery (which is also warming), molasses, maple syrup as per your taste. • In a cup of warm water, add the juice of half a lemon and have every day. Helps to ease the throat and build immunity
  
  
• Amalaki fruit is known to have a very high vitamin C content and regular use builds up the body's immunity. Amalaki capsules or Triphala capsules taken daily rejuvenate and build up the body's defences against illnesses and infections. • Chyawanprash is the best known ayurvedic remedy to build immunity. Made of a 5000 year old formula this remedy contains over 40 herbs in an amla base. A tablespoon everyday helps maintain optimum health especially during the winter months
  
  
• Take a spoonful of honey every night and every morning if your throat is irritated. It has soothing properties.
  
  
• Gargle with salt and warm water. This helps to prevent throat infections
  
  
• Apply a small amount of amrutanjan to the forehead, nose and chest area. People generally put a towel over the head after applications of amrutanjan. This helps to clear nasal passages.
