Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) is a condition experienced by men in later years when the prostate gland grows in size and weight. The condition itself is benign - however as the enlarged prostate
pushes against the bladder and urethra it causes problems while voiding urine including a weak urine stream, dribbling after urinating, or a need to urinate even after voiding.
If urine does not get completely voided it can start to accumulate in the bladder which can lead to infections and renal stones. BPH can even affect sexual health as it restricts ejaculation.
