Arjuna herb has been referenced in ancient ayurvedic texts as a healer of the heart. Arjuna has been shown to have beneficial effects in heart problems such as angina, myocardial infarction, arrhythmia, hypertension, coronary artery disease, high blood pressure, weakened heart muscles, tachycardia, tiredness, cardiomyopathies. Many heart problems such as angina is caused due to lack of blood supply and thereby oxygen supply of the heart muscle. This in turn is due to an obstruction of the heart's blood vessels. Arjuna strengthens the heart muscles and increases the heart's blood pumping abilities. Arjuna also improves the body's ability to absorb lipids.
