Kumkum originated as a bright red powder made from turmeric. In India this is considered auspicious and generally worn by married women applied to the forehead between the eyes. Kumkum comes in liquid/paste form which then dries and can be removed by simply washing off. Nowadays women wear kumkum in many different colors creating beautiful designs. The kumkum we present is not the original turmeric kumkum but comes in different skin-safe liquid colors which are easy to apply with the help of an applicator that is attached to the lid of each bottle. The box has different sample bindi designs on the back.

This is liquid kumkum or temporary body paint. It is usually used by Indian women to create a Bindi or mark on the forehead but are also used to create designs on other parts of the body. The box comes with 11 different colors. These are skin-safe colors which can be used to create temporary tattoos. Each lid comes with a plastic applicator for easy application. Once applied, the paint dries quickly and can later be washed off easily with soap and water. 11 different colours of white, lavender, mauve, yellow, gold, vermillion red, burnt sienna, dark green, bright red, dark blue, black. The bottles come in an easy to store plastic case as shown in the picture ~ Like any other form of body paint use care around fabrics as they may cause stains.
